Not biking weather
Monday, November 14th, 2005Damn frosty this morning. It looked quite nice outside but my face was greeted with the harshness of a cold mornings crisp air. Whipping through the traffic it felt as though razorblades were cutting in to my neck (no scarf). It’s definately time to invest in a neck warmer and some heated grips.
The roads are starting to looka bit frosty too. Not a good sign. It’s ok once you hit the city, but out in suburbia it’s a different story. There’s less heat to warm the roads so morning are more prone to stay icey for longer. It’s not dangerous yet, but if we get a nasty freeze it’ll be chains on the tires!
That being said, the fun of riding makes it bareable. Zipping in and out of traffic at high speed (ok, not this morning) is akin to video-gaming. That being said, I spent a few hours on Halo (PC) last night. Oh how I missed it. The death, the carnage, the most frags. If only you could really carry an RPG, assault rifle, a pack of grenades and re-spawn after 10 seconds … “mom, I’m off to join the army!”
