Woman Cut Up Over Paper-Shredder Fight. Police Still Trying To Piece Together Motive

Sunday, February 11th, 2007

Melanie Morehouse, of Sanford Street, Warrensburg, was charged with second-degree assault after attacking a woman with a paper shredder. The victim, Sharon Lee, was taken to Glens Falls Hospital suffering from facial injuries.

According to reports, “Morehouse went to Lee’s 266 River St. home shortly after 10 p.m. because Morehouse’s boyfriend rented a room there, police said.

“Lee intervened when Morehouse, who police believe was intoxicated, began arguing with the boyfriend, whose name was not released, according to the Sheriff’s Office.”

Morehouse was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child due to having her 6-year-old son with her at the time - committing the assault in his presence.
