Bird Flu fears overstated

It seems that the threat of bird flu may have been another scare mongering tactic by the government(s). It comes from the fact that wild birds carrying the flu strain may fly long distances to cause a biohazard overseas, but there doesn’t seem to be any proof of this.

“The real issue is where the highly pathogenic strain of the virus comes from. That’s not in wild birds. It’s almost certain it comes from poultry population,” said Ydenberg, who heads the Center for Wildlife Ecology at Simon Fraser University in Canada.

May be they should should give them the sauerkraut.
