Camping noobs…

Had a pretty good Halo (PC) session the other night. Started off on the Sidewinder map. Grabbed a sniper rifle and a shotgun and off I went on my way. 11 kills, 2 deaths, just a couple minutes. Not too bad. Now I wasn’t camping, I was running about quite a lot. I was, however, getting into strategic positions, taking the shot, then moving on. The next thing I know … “YOU HAVE BEEN KICKED”. WTF?

I hunted around and finally found the server again. Continued fragging … no kick this time (must have been screwing about all the Blue’s that got “pwn3d”). Anyway, left the rifle in favour of the brute force approach - rockets! But as time passed on, the normal deadites started with the “rocket noob, snpie noob, shee noob” rehtoric.

So you keep getting killed by the numpty on the hill with the sniper rifle, or the rocket whore, or the banshee whore who doesn’t even shoot you - just run you down … who cares?! If you’re getting killed by the same person from the same spot all the time then it’s likely that you’re running the same route - mistake. Change the pace, take a different route. Sneak up on him and take him out. Use anoter vehicle to your advantage. As long as he can see you, you can see him. If you can’t seem to kill him then you’re simply not good enough. Either get off the server or stay and practice. If you stay and manage to get him, the more you do, the less likely the other guy is to take up the same position round after round. He’ll get bored.
